Anamnesis – “recollection” – is a term used by psychologists to denote the story an individual recounts about his or her reasons for seeking help, guided and documented by the psychologist during the first sessions at the clinic.
The large, prickly sphere is made from discarded iron-wire knots once used in cement-casting molds. In the making of the work, only a single braid of each knot was opened in order to fasten it to the armature, with great care taken to disturb as little as possible the knot’s original form, as a wishful attempt to preserve and safeguard some truthful part of the self amid the countless events and circumstances – phases, encounters, shocks, wounds, and pains – that gather around it.
